4.18. Check of functioning and replacement of a regulator of pressure of fuel

Fuel is extremely inflammable, therefore working with any part of fuel system, accept additional precautionary measures. Do not smoke and do not allow emergence near a working zone of open fire or lamps without plafonds. Do not work in garage where the equipment on natural gas (such, as water or dryer heaters for clothes) with a match is established. At fuel hit on skin immediately wash away it water with soap. At any work with fuel system use goggles and keep in readiness the fire extinguisher. |
Check
|
- Remove in fuel system pressure (look the Section pressure Removal in system of injection of fuel).
- Disconnect a negative wire of the storage battery.
- Disconnect the fuel line and connect a measuring instrument of pressure of fuel (look the Section Check of pressure of fuel / the fuel pump). Connect the battery.
- Create in fuel system pressure (establish a safety lock of the fuel pump and include ignition) and check in measuring instrument connections existence of leaks.
- Connect to a regulator of pressure of fuel the vacuum pump.

- Turn on the fuel pump (look the Section Check of pressure of fuel / the fuel pump). Take readings of a measuring instrument of pressure of fuel when the razryazheniye is attached to a regulator of pressure and when it is not present. Pressure of fuel at increase in a razryazheniye should decrease.

- Switch off the fuel pump and attach to a regulator a vacuum hose. Start the engine and check pressure of fuel idling, having compared its size with given in the Size table and adjusting данныхв the Management end. Disconnect a vacuum hose and watch a measuring instrument - at a hose detachment pressure should increase jump to a maximum.
- If pressure of fuel low, block the line of return of fuel and watch pressure size. If pressure does not increase, the fuel pump is faulty or the fuel line is littered. If pressure does not increase jump, replace a pressure regulator.
- If the measured pressure of fuel very high, stop the engine, disconnect the line of return of fuel and blow it to check contamination existence. If the line is not littered, replace a regulator of pressure of fuel.
- If the size of pressure does not change, as is described in item 7, attach to a vacuum hose of a regulator of pressure the vacuum gage and measure a razryazheniye (the engine idles).
- If there is a razryazheniye, replace a regulator of pressure of fuel.
- If the measuring instrument is not registered by a razryazheniya, check leak or contamination existence in a hose and an entrance.

Replacement
|
- Remove in fuel system pressure (look the Section pressure Removal in system of injection of fuel).
- Disconnect a negative wire of the battery.

- Disconnect from a pressure regulator a vacuum hose and a hose of return of fuel, then unscrew fastening bolts (are shown by shooters).
|
- Remove a pressure regulator.
- Installation is return to removal. Be convinced that the new round ring is established. Before installation put on a ring a thin layer of impellent oil.
- After installation of a regulator of pressure check existence of leakages of fuel.
