16.19. Removal and radio receiver installation

If the radio receiver on your car is equipped with system of protection against theft, make sure that you gathered the correct code before disconnecting a battery wire. Apply for information in the Section System of protection of an audiosystem from theft and language of an instrument guard before a wire detachment.


If after wire accession on your instrument guard there were inscriptions not in that language which is necessary to you, address to the Section System of protection of an audiosystem from theft and language of an instrument guard where procedure of installation of the necessary language is described.

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect a negative wire of the battery.
  2. On the majority of models radio receivers are kept on a place by internal clips which are usually located on the parties or in corners of the obverse panel of the block. Removal demands the special tool, which is inserted into openings to release clips and to have possibility to take a radio receiver. Such tools can be made of a thick wire or to get in dealer office of service or at the expert in the audioequipment of cars. On radio receivers with system of protection against theft clips are moved and put forward by means of internal screws that demands use of other tool. Insert the tool into openings and release clips, then take a radio receiver from the dashboard. Disconnect from it conducting and remove it.
  3. On some models the radio receiver is kept on a place by the screws located under the obverse panel. Handles of control should be removed before removal of the obverse panel.
