10.6. Check and replacement of a lobby of the centering directing Check
The lobby the centering directing guarantees unambiguity of installation of the driveshaft in relation to a transmission flange. Directing which впрессована to the canal in a forward part of the driveshaft, enters into connection with a directing finger on a transmission flange. Wear of the centering directing conducts to emergence of vibrations of a forward part of the driveshaft.

For check centering directing give nuts and bolts of fastening of the elastic coupling to a transmission flange, grasp for the forward end of the driveshaft and try to move it up and down, and also in the parties. The shaft should sit densely on a finger of a flange of transmission. If is available appreciable люфт, replace a shaft.

Some driveshafts are equipped with a dustproof cover since the forward end, put on over the centering directing. This cover can be will bend or is deformed during shaft removal. Damage of a cover does not render influence on work of the centering directing - it is not necessary to confuse defect of a cover to wear of the most directing. |
Replacement

- Remove the driveshaft (see. Section Removal and driveshaft installation).
- Fill the channel behind centering directing dense greasing so that greasing was up to standard of bottom edge of the directing. Insert in directing a metal core of suitable diameter (about 14 mm), cover directing with a piece of rags and knock on a core with a hammer (do not try to use a core of smaller diameter is will not work; greasing will be squeezed out from sides). Increase of hydraulic pressure of greasing at core immersion in it conducts to expression centering directing of the driveshaft.

- Grease new centering directing a disulfide - molybdenum greasing and press it in the driveshaft. Make sure that the isolating sponge of the directing comes out over a shaft surface approximately on 4.5 mm (size A).

- Establish the driveshaft (see. Section Removal and driveshaft installation).
