13.14.6. Repair of considerable damages of a body It is best of all to provide repair of serious damages of a body to the qualified expert in repair of bodies, it is best of all from dealer office of the BMW service. Such repair will need the specialized equipment.
If extensive damages are received, the body should be checked on deformation of bearing elements, differently it can affect characteristics of controllability of the car and accelerate wear of its other components.
As all large components of a body (such as a cowl, wings etc.) are separate knots, at serious damage of any of them it is preferable to replace them, instead of to repair.

Sometimes spare components of a body can be found on dumps of scrap metal which specialize on polzovanny details of cars, it is frequent at much lower prices, than new details. |
