15.1. Removal, check of work and installation of a heater and air conditioner Removal

The retro models (Е28) use two separate motors of superchargers: one for ventilation and heating. And another for air conditioning. Modern models (Е34) have one motor of the supercharger. Removal and installation of the unique motor of the supercharger, and also the motor for ventilation and heating of the retro models are described below. Removal and installation of the motor of the supercharger for air conditioning of the retro models are described in the Section Removal and accumulator installation / дегидратора central airs of air of this Chapter. |

If the radio receiver of your car is equipped with system of protection against theft, make sure that you gathered the correct code before a battery detachment. |

- Disconnect a negative wire of the battery.
|
|
- The motor of the supercharger is located behind a partition, under the access panel. Give screws of fastening of the panel in front...

- Disconnect or cut off the plastic fastenings holding conducting on the panel, and take conducting aside.
- Remove the panel.
|
|
- Unbutton a fixing clip of a casing of the supercharger, and also a clip holding the motor of the supercharger.
|
|
|
- Disconnect conducting and remove the motor of the supercharger.
|
|
|
Check
You can check the motor of the supercharger, having submitted tension from the battery on motor plugs, having used the incorporated wires from a set for car start from an external source (make sure that blades of the fan will not touch anything at rotation). If the motor of the supercharger rotates fan blades with a high speed (this test is calculated on its high-speed work), it means that it is serviceable. If the motor does not work, or works slowly or is noisy, replace it.

If it is necessary to remove assemblies of blades of the fan, mark their arrangement on a shaft. At plant these assemblies were balanced and if not to establish them in just the same situation in relation to a shaft, it can lead to excessive noise at their work or to premature wear of bearings. |
