15.7. Removal and installation of the condenser of central air of air

As work with system is potentially dangerous, we urgently recommend to provide all works connected with central air of air, to dealer office of the BMW service or the expert in conditioners. At least, do not remove any components of system (hoses, the compressor, shtutserny connections, etc.) to a full discharge of system the qualified expert. Read about precautionary measures at the beginning of the Section conditioner and precautionary measure Service.


At installation of the new condenser it is necessary to replace also the accumulator / дегидратор (see. Section Removal and accumulator installation / дегидратора air central airs).

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Make a discharge of central air of air (see. The prevention is higher).
  2. Remove a radiator (see. The section Removal and radiator installation) on all models, except the E34 models. On the last remove a front bumper (see. Head Body).
  3. Remove a front grille (see. Head Body).
  4. To Otboltita the auxiliary fan from fixing arms of the condenser.
  5. Disconnect coolant lines from the condenser.
  6. Give fixing bolts from condenser arms.
  7. Remove the condenser from the car and закупорьте open unions to prevent hit in them of dirt and moisture.
  8. If you are going to establish again the same condenser, put it on the shelf shtutserny connections up that oil did not flow out.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Establish all components as it should be, the return to removal. Do not forget to establish rubber laying under the condenser.
  2. Make an oporozhneniye, a charging and system check on existence of leaks by means of the same qualified expert who made its discharge.
