15.8. Removal and installation of an accumulator / degidrator of central air of air
The accumulator / дегидратор is located behind the right head headlight

As work with system is potentially dangerous, we urgently recommend to provide all works connected with central air of air, to dealer office of the BMW service or the expert in conditioners. At least, do not remove any components of system (hoses, the compressor, shtutserny connections, etc.) to a full discharge of system the qualified expert. Read about precautionary measures at the beginning of the Section conditioner and precautionary measure Service. |
Removal

|
- Make a discharge of central air of air (see. The prevention is higher).
- Disconnect a negative wire of the battery.

|
If the radio receiver of your car is equipped with system of protection against theft, make sure that you gathered the correct code before a battery detachment. |
- Remove the tank of a washer of a windscreen.
- Disconnect the electric socket (sockets) from the accumulator / дегидратора - pay attention, what not all models have switches both high, and low pressure.

Disconnect coolant lines from the accumulator / дегидратора.
- To Zakuporta open unions to prevent dirt and moisture hit.
- Give fixing screws and remove the accumulator / дегидратор.

Installation
If you establish the new accumulator / дегидратор, it is possible, it is required to add a quantity of refrigerator oil - in this case follow instructions of the manufacturer.

- Remove old sealing rings from refrigerator lines and establish the new. It should be made irrespective of the fact which the accumulator / дегидратор is established.
- If you establish the new accumulator / дегидратор, remove pressure switches from the old block and put them on new before its installation. Not all models are equipped with switches both low, and a high pressure.
- Grease sealing rings with refrigerator oil before installation.
- Installation make upside-down, but do not forget to grease sealing rings with refrigerator oil before connection of unions.
- Make an oporozhneniye, a charging and system check on existence of leaks by means of the same qualified expert who made its discharge.
