11.1.2. Removal and installation of tips of steering drafts

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Release, but do not remove bolts of fastening of wheels, then поддомкратьте a front of the car and reliably establish it on axial support. Remove a forward wheel.
  1. Measure length of steering draft and write down result of measurement, or put with paint a label on a carving that at assembly to establish a tip in the same situation. Release a collar bolt.
  1. By means of the tool for removal of spherical hinges or a stripper separate a tip of steering draft from the rotary lever.
  1. Unscrew a tip of steering draft.
  2. Installation make upside-down. Make sure that tips of steering drafts are established according to the labels made earlier on a carving. If you measured length of tips, make sure that after installation it corresponds to the earlier measured.
  3. Check corners of convergence of forward wheels, and if necessary adjust them in dealer office of service or in a workshop.
