2.2.27. Start and an engine running in after major maintenance

- After engine installation on the car attentively check oil and cooler levels.
- At the removed spark plugs and the disconnected system of ignition (look the Section Check of extent of compression) turn the engine a starter while the measuring instrument of pressure of oil will not show normal pressure or while the lamp of control of pressure of oil will not go out.
- Establish spark plugs, attach high-voltage wires and connect ignition system (look the Section Check of extent of compression).
- Start the engine. Some seconds while in fuel system pressure will be created can be demanded, however, the engine should be got with little effort.

If in the case of a throttle or the carburetor there are return flashes, check the moment of installation of a gazoraspredeleniye (correctness of installation of a chain / belt of a gazoraspredeleniye), an ignition order (an order of connection of high-voltage wires to spark plugs) and the moment of installation of ignition. |
- After start the engine should get warm to normal working temperature. During warming up watch closely leakages of fuel, oil and a cooler.
- Muffle the engine and check levels of impellent oil and a cooler.
- On the road with not intensive engine on completely open throttle disperse the car since speed of 55 km/h to 90 km/h, then completely close a throttle and allow the car to lower with the closed throttle speed to 55 km/h. Repeat procedure from 10 to 12 times. It will create load of piston rings and will allow them to be established correctly concerning walls of cylinders. Again check oil and cooler levels.
- Drive the car the first 900 km accurately (without big speeds a long time) and constantly check oil level. Usually the engine in a running in has the raised consumption of oil.
- After, about, 900-1100 km replace oil and the filter.
- During the subsequent 900 km maintain the car usually - do not protect, but also do not overload.
- After 3600 km again replace oil and the filter. Now it is possible to consider the engine completely rolled.
