16.32. Description and check of work of system of electric window regulators

The system of electric window regulators puts in action the electromotors established in the doorway which lift and lower glasses of windows. The system consists of control switches, motors, mechanisms of window regulators and conducting. Removal of motors and window regulators is described in Head the Body.

Diagnostics is usually limited to simple check of contacts of conducting and motors on existence of insignificant damages which it is possible to eliminate easily. Such checks treat:

Check of switches of electric window regulators on existence of damages of conducting and weakening of contacts.
Check of safety locks of electric window regulators and/or chain breakers (if they are available).
Remove the panel (panels) of a covering of a door and check conducting of motors of electric window regulators on weakening of contacts and existence of damages. Examine mechanisms of window regulators on existence of damages which can cause conducting twisting.
