17.31. Replacement of the fuel filterEach 38 000 km of run or time in two years

Gasoline is extremely inflammable therefore at work with any components of fuel system it is necessary to accept special precautionary measures. Do not smoke and do not come nearer to a venue of works with open fire or unprotected by the lamp shade carrying. Do not perform such works in the garages equipped with heating devices, working at natural gas (such, as водогреи, dryers, etc.). The working platform should be ventilated well. At gasoline hit on skin immediately wash away it water with soap. At carrying out any works with fuel system put on goggles and hold near at hand the fire extinguisher. |

- On models with system of injection of fuel dump pressure in fuel system (see. Head Power supply system).
- The fuel filter is located in an impellent compartment on a partition or under the car near a fuel tank.
- On some models the filter is located closely with a starter therefore fuel can directly follow on electric sockets. Therefore for safety reasons before the beginning of work disconnect a negative wire of the battery.

If the radio receiver of your car is equipped with system of protection against theft, make sure that you gathered the correct code before a battery detachment. |
- Place under the fuel filter a vessel or pieces of rags to collect being spilled fuel. If you have suitable collars for hoses, fix them inlet and final hoses.

- Disconnect hoses (And) and give screws/nut (To) brackets, then remove the filter and where it is available, bracket assembly. (it is shown for models with system of injection of fuel).

- Disconnect the filter from a bracket.
- Installation make upside-down. Make sure that shooters on the filter specify in the direction of movement of fuel.
